Ventrone was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 13th, in part due to a hamstring injury that left him unable to help on special teams. The Patriots scooped him up two weeks later, uniting him with his brother Ray, who serves as an assisant on the Patriots’ coaching staff.
