Patriots Down Steelers 28-21 in Season Opener

The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the New England Patriots, 28-21, Thursday night in the NFL Kickoff.

Pittsburgh’s shuffling defense hung with Tom Brady and the Patriots for about a half, but ultimateey proved too porous to win. DeAngelo Williams looked like an NFL starter in Le’Veon Bell’s absence and Josh Scobee did nothing to make Steelers fans feel better about Shaun Suisham’s injury.

Fourth-quarter crowd chants of “Where is Roger?” mocked Commissioner Roger Goodell over “Deflategate.” Goodell did not attend.

Neither, it seemed, did the Steel Curtain. Only occasionally did it come close to clamping down on Brady, yielding 361 yards.
