One small detail suggests the Steelers aren't done adding quarterbacks

The Pittsburgh Steelers made a notable move at quarterback this past week, when the club brought in Washington cast-off Dwayne Haskins. Now some might think the Steelers have their depth chart set at quarterback. But there is one detail we are all overlooking. All three quarterbacks currently signed to the Steelers’ roster have deals that expire in 2022. After this season the Steelers have no fall back options available to them.

If Ben Roethlisberger is set to retire at the conclusion of next season, and the Steelers deem Mason Rudolph their next starting quarterback, Rudolph will have to receive a significant pay bump by virtue of being a starting quarterback of an NFL team.
