The Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense started off this season on the wrong foot. The unit frequently got beaten up on the ground and through the air. However, it’s been better in recent weeks. That includes a much-improved outing against the Cincinnati Bengals, who torched the Steelers’ defense earlier in the year. Unfortunately, the defense has continued to struggle on 3rd down, particularly 3rd and long. Mike Tomlin isn’t making a big deal out of that, though.
“It’s rush and coverage,” Tomlin said Tuesday via the team’s YouTube channel. “It’s a play here, a play there.
