‘Not Gonna Unpack My Bags On The Collective’s Bed:’ Tomlin Downplays Steelers’ Playoff Losing Streak

Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers secured another winning season and playoff berth, but the team’s ambitions have always been beyond that. They’ve been attempting to overcome a nearly decade-long win drought in the playoffs with six straight losses and counting in the postseason. Tomlin downplayed the significance of that drought as it pertains to the 2025 team.

“It’s not about the organization or myself, it’s about this collective,” Tomlin said during his Tuesday press conference. “And quite frankly, most of these men don’t care about the last whatever years that you mentioned. Most of ’em are new to us, and so that’s where my focus is.
