There were no fines issued in the Week 1 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Falcons, a somewhat surprising outcome given there were offsetting unnecessary roughness penalties and a late hit by OLB Matthew Judon on WR George Pickens.
Pittsburgh was the most-fined team in the NFL last season, so starting off Week 1 without a fine is a good start for Pittsburgh. It’s a little bit baffling that Judon wasn’t fined for that late hit on Pickens, and there was also a chance that Broderick Jones and Grady Jarrett got fined for their post-play scrap.
