The Pittsburgh Steelers have a rich history at the center position. That includes Mike Webster and Dermontti Dawson, both of whom are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Webster was the Steelers’ center from 1974-1988, and Dawson manned the position from 1989-2000. In 2010, the Steelers drafted their next franchise center in Maurkice Pouncey. He retired after the 2020 season, and now, he’s eligible for the Pro Hall of Fame. Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t think Pouncey should have to wait to achieve football immortality.
“When it comes to [Pouncey], I’ll probably start crying because of how much he means to me,” Roethlisberger said recently via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s YouTube channel.
