The Pittsburgh Steelers rivalry with the Baltimore Ravens is one of the best in football. To referee the game, the NFL is choosing its newest and greenest head referee as Alex Moore will be the referee for Steelers-Ravens on Sunday. NFL Communications announced Moore would be the referee in the weekly game capsule release.
Moore is in his first season as a referee, and his crew has thrown significantly more flags than any other. Moore’s crew leads the league with 192 called penalties this season, beating out Shawn Hochuli’s 182. 93 of those penalties have been on the home team while 99 have been against the visitors, per nflpenalties.
