The wide receiver market is red hot. Other than maybe pass rushers and of course quarterbacks, no position has a skyrocketing market value like the receivers. The Pittsburgh Steelers were part of that trend this offseason as they traded for DK Metcalf and quickly awarded him one of the most lucrative contracts at the position. With just a hair under $33 million per season on his four-year extension, Metcalf is currently fourth on the list of highest-paid receivers. According to Jeremy Fowler’s survey of league execs, coaches and scouts, Metcalf’s contract is slightly outpacing where he stands among players at his position across the league.
