NFL changes procedure for point after touchdowns and two-point conversions

There were two rule changes which will be reinforced this upcoming NFL season which could alter the way coaches approach the point after a touchdown.

The extra point rule for 2015 just changed. Snap for kick from the 15-yard line, 2-pt try stays at 2-yard line and defense can return.

The NFL approved two important rule changes Tuesday at their annual owners meeting which will have an impact on scoring after a touchdown.

First, the extra-point play will now originate at the 15-yard line instead of around the two-yard mark.
