New Steelers DB Tre Flowers Mum On Role: ‘We’ll See On Sunday’

If Tre Flowers knows what the Steelers have in store for him on defense this week, he isn’t about to let it slip to the media. Signed on Christmas, he could potentially play today against the Browns, given Pittsburgh’s injuries. That is, after all, why they signed him, having previously played for the Lions this year.

Though he has played mostly outside, Flowers can slide into the slot in a pinch. And the Steelers are without starting slot defender Brandin Echols, so a one-for-one replacement would be convenient. Their “backup” slot defender is starting S Jalen Ramsey, whom they moved down last week after Echols left the game.
