New Steelers kicker Chris Boswell spent the first month of the season living at his parent’s home in the Dallas/Fort Worth area wondering if he would ever get an opportunity to kick in the NFL after he was cut for the second time in two years. Now, in less than a week, he’ll be making his debut on “Monday Night Football.”
“Kicking is kicking,” Boswell said Monday after his first practice with the Steelers. “It doesn’t really matter who’s watching, if it’s on your own or if it’s ’Monday Night Football.’ ”
Chalk it up to naivete or simply not knowing the pressures associated with earning a living as a place-kicker in the NFL.
