On the road against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in a matchup that promised to be physical and seemed like it was one many had ticketed for a loss, the Pittsburgh Steelers stood up in the face of adversity.
They were the bullies.
Pittsburgh dominated in the trenches and took care of business, holding on for a 29-24 win to move to 9-6 on the season, increase their AFC North lead, and secure another non-losing season for head coach Mike Tomlin.
In the process, the Steelers also snapped an ugly streak. Pittsburgh didn’t have double-digit missed tackles in the win for the first time in six games, a streak that had them on pace to break the charting record for missed tackles in a single season dating back to 2016.
