Mike Tomlin to interview Alabama defensive line coach Karl Dunbar

Mike Tomlin will interview University of Alabama defensive line coach Karl Dunbar for a coaching job with the Steelers.

John Mitchell, who has been the Steelers defensive line coach the past 24 seasons, will remain on the coaching staff. Mitchell also has been the assistant head coach since 2007, the year Tomlin became coach.

Dunbar, 50, was an eighth-round draft choice of the Steelers in 1990 from LSU. Before joining Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama in 2016, Dunbar was a defensive line coach in the NFL with the Bills, Jets, Vikings and Bears, and also with several colleges.
