Mike Tomlin Ties NFL Record For Longest Playoff Losing Streak

It turns out, Mike Tomlin had a historic season after all, tying the NFL record for consecutive playoff losses for a coach. Joining longtime Bengals HC Marvin Lewis, Tomlin has now lost seven straight games in the postseason. Nobody has ever lost more — primarily because teams fire coaches when they lose so frequently. Tomlin previously shared the second-longest streak with Marty Schottenheimer, Steve Owen and Jim Mora.

The Steelers’ playoff futility over Tomlin now spans nine years without a win, the losing streak going back 10 years. After their loss in the conference finals in 2016, the Steelers have lost every trip to the playoffs.
