The Steelers looked listless on offense without DK Metcalf against the Browns, but Mike Tomlin believes they found something on Sunday. With Metcalf serving a two-game suspension, they had to try to get by without him. Perhaps they figured some things out along the way, which they can integrate now that he is back.
Tomlin talked about the growth that he saw in the Steelers’ offense without Metcalf yesterday. He talked about newer players like Adam Thielen stepping up and finding bigger roles. “That cohesion has probably been accelerated”, he said, via the Steelers’ website. He also noted players like Scotty Miller having opportunities to show their worth, as well.
