Though RB Jaylen Warren was the best player on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense Sunday night, Mike Tomlin has little interest in expanding his role. Instead, he’s hoping the rest of the group makes plays to naturally give Warren more opportunities. Speaking to reporters Tuesday, Tomlin said Warren’s role is perfect where it’s at.
“We win more third downs, we’ll get Jaylen more touches,” Tomlin said via the team’s YouTube channel. “It’s as simple as that. Jaylen was having the trajectory of having a good day in LA, but we weren’t converting enough third downs for you to really, really feel it.
