The Steelers went with veterans Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling at wide receiver this week, and Mike Tomlin hinted at more. Though the two combined for just one catch for four yards, he likes what they brought in terms of experience. What that means for inexperienced second-year WR Roman Wilson, that is less clear, but presumably not great.
The Steelers claimed Thielen off waivers last week, and Valdes-Scantling has been on the practice squad for several weeks. They elevated the latter from the practice squad for this game, leaving him with two more games of elevation eligibility.
