The negotiations weren’t in the Stephon Tuitt contract range, but in the end, new Steelers cornerback Joe Haden and veteran Steelers safety Robert Golden came to an agreement:
Golden gave up his No. 21 to Haden for a cash amount that neither player would reveal.
“Something good for me, something good for me,” said Golden with a broad smile. “At the end of the day it’s a number, but other things are significant. I do have a child and he is growing out of Pampers and everything. It definitely helped me out a lot.”
