The 2026 QB class in the NFL Draft was supposed to shape up to be a great one. Until it wasn’t.
Coming into the season, the QB class was expected to be loaded, featuring names like Clemson’s Cade Klubnik, Penn State’s Drew Allar, South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers, LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier, and more, who were expected to lead the charge in a deep, talented class.
But all of those names fell off for one reason or another, whether due to inconsistent or poor play or injuries. Now, the QB class looks like it’s a 2-3 man group for the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, led by Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza out of Indiana, Oregon’s Dante Moore and Alabama’s Ty Simpson, though both Moore and Simpson could decide to return to school.
