When the Pittsburgh Steelers acquired standout receiver DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks for a second-round pick, the vision was that they were landing a true No. 1 receiver, one who could create splash down the field, win in contested-catch situations, and create after the catch.
So far though, the move has been a bit of a disappointment, especially considering the Steelers are paying Metcalf more than $30 million per year. Metcalf has hauled in just 45 passes for 605 yards and five touchdowns. Though he’s averaging 13.4 yards per reception, those numbers are a far cry from what he consistently put up in Seattle.
