‘Lot Of Layers To That Discussion:’ Tomlin Isn’t Giving Up On Steelers’ Struggling Run Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers place a lot of emphasis on running the football. While the passing game continues to grow in today’s NFL, the Steelers don’t shy away from keeping the ball on the ground. That’s one of the main reasons why they brought in Arthur Smith as their offensive coordinator. However, that hasn’t translated to success on the field recently.

Mike Tomlin isn’t showing much concern about the Steelers’ stagnant run game, though.

“I’m comfortable with our approach to running the football,” Tomlin said Tuesday via the team’s YouTube channel. “Certainly, we haven’t gotten what we wanted from a production standpoint, but there’s a lot of layers to that discussion.
