Kelvin Sheppard is acutely aware of how long Aaron Rodgers has been in the NFL. Sheppard entered the league as a linebacker for the Detroit Lions in 2011. He enjoyed an eight-year NFL playing career and has quickly climbed the ranks as a coach, now serving as the Lions’ defensive coordinator. During that entire time, Rodgers has been playing quarterback.
Now, Sheppard is getting ready to face an older version of Rodgers than the one he played all those years ago. Speaking to the media Thursday, Sheppard discussed the biggest change in Rodgers’ play.
“Probably the biggest difference is he used to get out on the perimeter with his legs, and he wouldn’t mind taking a hit or two here and there,” he said via the team’s YouTube channel today.
