Le'Veon Bell makes $750k donation to fund high school football field

Le’Veon Bell has been conspicuous in his absence from Steelers OTAs this week. Turns out he may have a pretty good excuse.

The running back, with a novelty check dated Wednesday, donated $750,000 to Groveport Madison High School in Ohio, his alma mater, to fund installation of a new turf field at the football stadium there.

Congrats to Groveport grad & Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell. He's donated $750K to his alma mater for new field turf in time for this season. pic.twitter.com/WbVMunnoLU

The school, obviously, is pretty stoked, WCMH-Columbus reports.
