‘Just Weren’t Making Plays’: Run Defense Issues Should Be Fixed Quickly, Malik Harrison Believes

They knew they had to be able to stop the run and force the Buffalo Bills to become one-dimensional Sunday night at Acrisure Stadium. And yet, the Pittsburgh Steelers failed miserably to do so.

The Steelers allowed a stadium record 249 rushing yards to the Bills. They were largely gashed over and over again by the same play, which had star outside linebacker T.J. Watt dejected after the game.

Watt lamented the fact that the Bills ran the same play repeatedly, and the Steelers couldn’t find a way to stop it.

For linebacker Malik Harrison, who took on a large role in the game due to Patrick Queen’s injury in the second quarter, the issues with the Steelers’ run defense against the Bills were simple: guys just weren’t making plays.
