‘Just Terrible’: Joe Haden Discouraged With Brandin Echols’ ‘Bad Eyes’ In Coverage

With the secondary shaken up by injuries, and Jalen Ramsey spending more time at safety, Brandin Echols has been on the field a lot recently. At times, that’s been a good thing, as he’s been aggressive against the run and decent against the pass.

Unfortunately for him, Sunday night wasn’t his best game. He gave up two long completions to Ladd McConkey, the first of which resulted in the Chargers’ first touchdown just before halftime. On that play, former Steeler Joe Haden saw something he didn’t like.

“That was just terrible, at the top of the route,” Haden said Monday on his Deebo & Joe show.
