The Pittsburgh Steelers exchanged one potential Hall of Fame defensive back for another when they shipped Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Miami Dolphins for Jalen Ramsey. But the third player in the trade may end up being the biggest impact on the team this season when it’s all said and done. TE Jonnu Smith produced like a top-five tight end last season, and he’s now bringing his talents to an offense that desperately needed another top weapon other than DK Metcalf.
According to Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger, Smith’s addition might be the best part of the trade.
“Jonnu Smith, the tight end that comes in, to me, that might be the bigger deal,” Roethlisberger said via his Footbahlin podcast on YouTube.
