The Steelers have two new names on the injury report following the team’s first training camp practice of the year, head coach Mike Tomlin told the media Thursday. However, neither case seems serious.
Newly-acquired tight end Jonnu Smith and veteran running back Cordarrelle Patterson were both in street clothes at July 24’s practice for undisclosed reasons. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ray Fittipaldo added that “Tomlin indicated they will be out short term and not long term.”
Smith and Patterson join veteran guard Isaac Seumalo, who started camp on the active non-football injury list with a soft-tissue issue.
