For the Pittsburgh Steelers, there are good problems to have out of less-than-ideal situations. Leaning on backup tackles and cornerbacks throughout the season, the Steelers suddenly have a hard choice of starting Dylan Cook or Andrus Peat at left tackle, and James Pierre or Asante Samuel Jr. at cornerback Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Assuming Peat clears concussion protocol and Pierre recovers from his calf injury, Tomlin didn’t guarantee either would start.
“We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it,’ Tomlin told reporters Tuesday via the team’s YouTube channel of who will get the left tackle nod.
