Jack Sawyer Seeing Weekly Improvement As He Gets Ready For Bigger Role

The Pittsburgh Steelers won’t have OLB T.J. Watt on Monday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins, and that’s going to lead to rookie Jack Sawyer seeing an increased role. While Nick Herbig and Alex Highsmith will get the start, Sawyer will be the top backup at outside linebacker. It’s a role he’s held a few times this season with Alex Highsmith missing four games due to injury. But as the season has gone on, Sawyer said he’s gotten more comfortable playing at the NFL level.
