The Pittsburgh Steelers lost special teams captain Miles Killebrew to a torn ACL in the team’s Week 6 win over the Cleveland Browns, and while not having Killebrew on the field has been a blow for Pittsburgh, he’s been able to find a “new purpose” following the injury. During an appearance on The Chipped Ham and Football podcast, hosted by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Brian Batko, Killebrew said that while things were tough right after he got hurt, he’s been able to tap into a bigger leadership role.
“It’s a little jarring. You can’t anticipate it…you’re at the top and then now you’re not doing anything,” Killebrew said.
