Mike Tomlin’s never been one to shy away from a challenge. Even as calls for his job have grown louder than ever, Tomlin feels the heat each year he’s been the Pittsburgh Steelers’ head coach. For him, the internal calculation is the same even if the external chatter changes.
“I’ve been in the hot seat for 19 years,” Tomlin said Tuesday during his weekly press conference via the team’s YouTube channel.
For at least one week, the Steelers’ win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday quieted the media discussion on Tomlin’s future. But that door could quickly reopen should Pittsburgh lay an egg against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night.
