While the Steelers decided not to make any trades before the deadline passed this week, they did make one move before that deserves to be critiqued. For those of you who don’t know, Kyle Dugger and a seventh-round pick were traded to the Steelers in exchange for a sixth-round pick.
It seemed like a low-risk, low-reward type of deal. Dugger had been a backup this season for the most part with the Patriots and hadn’t been the same player since he signed his extension a few years ago.
Now, just one game after the trade, the Steelers are already looking like geniuses.
