Chip Trayanum knows a lot about creating opportunities. As a middle school student, he ran track when he wasn’t playing football. In high school, he expanded his skills even further.
“I was a two-way star at coming out of high school,” he explained to me following a recent practice at the East-West Shrine Bowl. “I played everywhere on defense. Linebacker, strong safety, corner.”
The running back was also a four-star recruit who helped his high school team win three state titles. He received offers from most of the big programs, including Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin and others.
