In their win over the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver corps looked a little different. Roman Wilson was a healthy scratch, and two recent pickups got their first playing time in Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
The passing attack coincidentally had its best game in over a month. Neither Thielen nor Valdes-Scantling made a huge impact against Baltimore, but it will be interesting how their playing time shakes out over the final four weeks of the season.
“I don’t think MVS convinced anyone who matters that he needs to play. Conversely, I think you will see Thielen be more involved,” Steelers insider Gerry Dulac wrote in his Pittsburgh Post-Gazette weekly chat.
