The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a critical Week 17 game to the Cleveland Browns. In the process, the team also lost its starting tight end. Tight end Darnell Washington left the game in the first half due to a forearm injury. Post-game, Mike Tomlin mentioned and clarified his injury situation. The news is not good.
“Darnell Washington had a broken arm,” Tomlin said via the team’s YouTube channel. “He wasn’t able to go back in. The rest are bumps and bruises associated with play.”
It’s not clear how Washington injured his arm. He was initially ruled questionable being being downgraded to out.
