Inserted into the starting lineup Sunday on the road against the Chicago Bears, Mason Rudolph had a real opportunity on his hands after Aaron Rodgers was ruled out with a fracture in his wrist.
That opportunity slipped away, though, as Rudolph struggled to do the most important thing as a backup quarterback in the game: take care of the football.
Not only was Rudolph shaky with his passes, missing consistently downfield, he turned the ball over twice — one on an underthrown deep ball leading to a great interception from Chicago cornerback Nahshon Wright, and the other a sack and fumble off of play-action.
