For a rookie running back—one of the few NFL positions expected to contribute immediately—the 2025 season has been a humbling one for Pittsburgh Steelers third-round pick Kaleb Johnson. He played just 51 offensive snaps with 28 rushing attempts in the regular season and has to remind himself that it’s all part of the process.

That the best is yet to come.

“I feel like it’s more of a mental game for me right now. So I just treat it as such. My time will come, and I’m going to shine when my time comes,” Johnson said via Chris Adamski on TribLive.
