Once again, former Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward failed to make the Hall of Fame finalists list. Ward missed the cut for the class of 2026, repeatedly stuck as a semifinalist unable to make it into the last group to be voted on for football immortality.
Tuesday morning, Good Morning Football revealed the 15 finalists.
The wide receivers who made the cut are: Larry Fitzgerald, Torry Holt, and Reggie Wayne.
It’s another disappointing but expected outcome for Ward, who has struggled to get over the hump. Despite his reputation as being one of the best blocking receivers in NFL history, good aggregate numbers, and an excellent playoff resume that includes a Super Bowl MVP, Ward has been unable to separate himself from a crowded field of wide receivers.
