‘High Level Of Consistency’: Mike Tomlin Impressed With James Pierre’s ‘Ability To Respond To Opportunity’

The Pittsburgh Steelers dealt with injuries throughout their secondary this past week. As they looked to get revenge over the Cincinnati Bengals this time around, they had to do with without Darius Slay. Then they became even more shorthanded during the game Sunday. Jalen Ramsey was ejected and Brandin Echols missed portions of the game with injuries. As a result, James Pierre played a much bigger role than usual.

In that role, Pierre certainly did well. He received some praise from the coaching staff this week, and his performance Sunday earned him even more from Mike Tomlin.
