The Pittsburgh Steelers are a bit banged up in the secondary early in the week ahead of the matchup against the Buffalo Bills at Acrisure Stadium in Week 13, with Joey Porter Jr. dealing with a hip injury.
That could create some challenges for Pittsburgh from a coverage perspective against the reigning NFL MVP in Josh Allen. But they could have an answer on the practice squad in veteran Asante Samuel Jr.
This could be the week the veteran is elevated to the active/inactive roster to give the Steelers a boost. While head coach Mike Tomlin said it was too early in the week to speculate one way or another regarding Samuel, he didn’t rule it out, either.
