‘He Should Still Be On This Roster’: Steelers Should Have Tried To ‘Make It Work’ With George Pickens, Batch Says

Although it hurt to lose his talent, most were understanding of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ decision to trade George Pickens in May. However, that stings quite a bit more now with him having 1,054 receiving yards through 11 games in Dallas, the second most in the NFL.

It hurts even more considering how lackluster the Steelers’ receiving corps is performing. Hindsight is 20/20, but former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch thinks Pittsburgh clearly made the wrong decision.

“He should still be on this roster. Why? Because the Cowboys figured out a way to put him beside their number one receiver in CeeDee Lamb and figured out a way to make it work.
