‘Gritty Group’: Arthur Smith Thrilled To See Receivers Step Up In DK Metcalf’s Absence

Related Topics: DK Metcalf, Arthur Smith

Without DK Metcalf the last two weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been playing a bit shorthanded offensively. It led to them really struggling in a Week 17 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Then in Week 18 the Steelers were able to find a way to win.

That win gave them the AFC North title and a home playoff game in the Wild Card Round against the Houston Texans, and it was due to guys stepping up to make plays.

Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is obviously excited to have Metcalf back from his two-game suspension, but he knows it doesn’t all come down to his standout receiver in the playoff game.
