Pittsburgh Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin went “Lone Ranger” with his decision to make a quarterback change from Justin Fields to Russell Wilson for Week 7 against the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football.
Prior to the change, the Steelers were 4-2 and coming off of a 32-point outburst against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6 with Fields at quarterback. But Tomlin wasn’t going to let good be the enemy of great, which led to the change as he wanted to get a look at Wilson to see what he has in the quarterback.
