Future Of Steelers CB Cortez Allen Now In Doubt

The Pittsburgh Steelers placed cornerback Cortez Allen on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday and that now makes two seasons in a row that he’s landed there.

Allen, who signed a four year contract extension worth $24.6 million with the Steelers on September 6, 2014, appeared in just 11 games last season before being shut down for the year. He’s only managed to start 18 games since he was drafted in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

The Steelers drafted Senquez Golson this year in the second round but his rookie season was wiped out by a shoulder injury.
