The Pittsburgh Steelers entered Sunday’s game versus the Cleveland Browns with a chance to win the AFC North. They were without top WR DK Metcalf. And Browns DE Myles Garrett was eyeing the NFL single-season sack record. So, you’d expect the Steelers to run the ball a ton, right?
Wrong. The Steelers outrushed the Browns 131-78, but they only ran the ball 24 times. Instead, QB Aaron Rodgers attempted 39 passes (and was sacked twice), and the Steelers lost, 13-6. The Steelers’ offensive game plan left many people scratching their heads.
“Jaylen Warren was having success,” former NFL scout John Middlekauff said Monday on the Colin Cowherd Podcast.
