The Pittsburgh Steelers have had a need at wide receiver since they traded Diontae Johnson in March 2024. While they’ve addressed that spot, nothing has stuck. Calvin Austin III has been fine, and Roman Wilson is starting to make plays, but the Steelers have still needed more from their receivers outside of their No. 1 guy. They traded for Mike Williams last year to try to fill that void, but that also didn’t work. However, former All-Pro wide receiver Josh Gordon revealed that Russell Wilson tried to get him on the Steelers last year.
“I ended up staying in Seattle for two years and getting to meet Russell,” Gordon said Thursday on the Glory Daze podcast.
