Florio: Steelers ‘Level Of Desperation’ In Signing Rodgers Could Lead To A Mike Tomlin Departure In 2026

The Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t won a playoff game since the 2016 season, and the team signed four-time league MVP QB Aaron Rodgers this offseason to lead the room in an attempt to get over the hump in the postseason. Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio believes the Steelers signing Rodgers is a sign of “desperation.”

“It feels like a level of desperation to end what will be a nine-year streak with no playoff wins. That’s the longest the Steelers have gone between postseason wins since they finally got their first one, December 23rd, 1972 in the Immaculate Reception game.
