Fittipaldo Predicts WR Roman Wilson Will Remain ‘On The Bench’

After claiming 35-year-old wide receiver Adam Thielen last week in an effort to give the passing game a boost, the Pittsburgh Steelers were going to have a hard decision on their hands at wide receiver on game day.

They made that decision even harder by elevating veteran receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling from the practice squad for the Week 14 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, too. In turn, that led to second-year wide receiver Roman Wilson, a player who has seemingly emerged and taken on a larger role in recent weeks, becoming a healthy scratch.

Wilson was inactive for the matchup with the Ravens, and it’s led to plenty of questions and concerns.
