The Pittsburgh Steelers have had a great deal of success this season utilizing their jumbo package featuring reserve offensive lineman Spencer Anderson as an extra tight end in the run game.
It’s helped the Steelers establish a physical run game and really keep defenses off balance. Anderson even caught a pass in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, showing Pittsburgh can still throw out of the look.
But things will have to change this week if veteran left guard Isaac Seumalo can’t play due to a pectoral injury. That would force Anderson into the starting lineup, and could throw the jumbo package into a state of flux.
